Town ADVISORY BOARD AND COMMISSIONS

 

Charter Review - This Board reviews the Town Charter submitting recommended changes to the Town Council and then to the voters.                                                  
Dundee Historic Depot Committee         The duties of the committee shall be to oversee the operation of the historic railroad train depot in Dundee; determine activities, collect and disburse all funds allowed by the town and/or raised from rental, fund raisers,
    grants, contributions or other services; to make repairs necessary to the depot building; to determine to whom and under what circumstances the depot is to be used or rented; to submit semiannual reports to the town council as to the activities of the committee;
     to provide the town council with copies of all minutes and correspondence of the committee; to prepare and present an annual financial report of all funds expended or generated by the committee, which report shall be submitted to the town council no later than ten days after the end of each fiscal year ending September 30th of each year, beginning in 1999;
    and to prepare and present a budget request to the town manager listing all items the  committee deems necessary for the following fiscal year, such request to be submitted  to the town manager no later than June 30th of each year, beginning in1999.                                    
Board of Adjustments - Considers appeals by residents and property owners from decisions by the Planning Board,  development regulations. Considers requests for variances  from variances from dimensional requirements in the Town’s zoning regulations, such as building setbacks, height limits, lot widths.
Recreation Board - Makes recommendations to the Council on recreation services, facilities, fee policies and budget. Makes recommendations on proposed recreation areas and improvements in proposed residential development and subdivisions.
Library Board -   Makes recommendations on library services, facilities, fee policies and budget.  Works closely with the Friends of the Library and the Library Director.
 
Planning & Zoning Board  -Makes recommendations on general plans for managing growth of the community.  Examples:  the Land Use and Thoroughfare Plans, Goals and Objectives of the Comprehensive Plan. Makes recommendations on applications for special use permits,
     rezoning proposals, and changes  in the Town's Land Use Management Ordinance.  Makes recommendations on proposed subdivisions of land into individual lots for houses or
    other buildings.
