The Dundee Police Department is made up of two divisions: Operations, and Support/Administrative Services. We serve a ten square mile area. The department is small, but strives to be a professional police agency, providing excellent police service for our community.
We have installed computers and audio/ video recording devices in our police units. Our police patrol units are equipped with front and rear radar and help to provide safe streets for our residents. The department is very proactive, enforcing all of the laws of the state. We frequently participate in joint Seat Belt Enforcement (“Click it or Ticket”) operations with neighboring towns in an effort to prevent serious injuries in vehicle crashes.
The department also offers a free inspection of the installation of your child safety seats. We have officers trained and certified to provide you assistance in this important area.
R. U. OK FOR SENIORS
The R. U. OK program was designed to assist our citizens who may have special health needs and for our older residents who live alone. It is a simple service we provide to our residents. All you have to do is register with the police department. We ask that you fill out a simple form that could provide us with important information if ever needed. Then all you do is call the Police Department each day at a time you specify. If we don’t hear from you when we should, we start investigating to find out if you are OK. If you can’t come in and pick up the form, call us and we will deliver it to you. It’s simple, it’s free, and we like doing it for you.
